Volunteer Message From Marathon Race Director

The Harrisburg Marathon, like every marathon and every other kind of sports event, "runs" on the work of the volunteers. Our race is successful because of the 300+ volunteers who work tirelessly on the day of the race to staff the water stations, direct runners and traffic, serve post-race refreshments, administer medical assistance, and perform countless other duties to make the race successful.

Just read the comments posted on the Comments section of this website. You'll see for yourself what an amazing role they play and the appreciation they receive from the participants.

We can use your help in the days leading up to the race, at registration the day before the race, and in multiple positions on race day. If you would like to serve in any capacity, please contact the race director, Joanne Caulfield, at joannec7@msn.com. If you are at the race to cheer on your favorite runner(s), you might be able to help for just an hour or two. Please let us know. We'll be happy to have your help, and you will feel great for having done it -- that's a promise!
